Newlife is dedicated to the continued training of staff. We invest heavily in staff training to ensure that the company’s high standards in construction are achieved.
Newlife, as part of the TREES Group, has received the Investors in People award, the UK’s leading people management business improvement standard. The accreditation signifies our long-term commitment to creating jobs for local people who continue to experience disadvantage in the labour market. It also recognises our dedication to creating apprenticeships and long-term training initiatives to address a skills shortage, particularly in the construction sector. We are recognised as a partner of the National Apprenticeship Service and work in partnership with regional organisations to offer apprenticeships in construction skills including bricklaying, joinery, plastering and electrical work.
Newlife has been a key supporter of Youthbuild UK for the past six years. Youthbuild UK celebrates the achievements of young people, especially those who have had to overcome barriers to get into the construction industry. The Young Builder of the Year Awards is currently in its twelve year and is supported by some of the construction industry’s largest players including NHBC, UKCG, CITB- ConstructionSkills and CECA.
