Environment & Sustainability

At Newlife we believe that sustainability is a collective responsibility. As part of the TREES Group we want to work together with our customers, suppliers and those communities in which we work to ensure that sustainability is embedded in everything we do.

Newlife is committed to the success and increased adoption of sustainable construction practices throughout the industry. We believe green buildings are not only good for the environment, they also provide immediate and long-term economic benefits for developers, building owners and occupants.

Newlife is working towards the ISO 14001certification, an internationally accepted standard that sets out how you can go about putting in place an effective Environmental Management System (EMS). Newlife endeavours to prevent pollution, wasteful use of natural resources and to meet or surpass all relevant legislative and client requirements. In order to achieve this Newlife engages and trains its employees in environmental issues, provide management systems and guidance to all its employees, monitor performance and set targets for continuous improvements with regard to energy use, waste disposal and product purchases.

Newlife works in partnership with Hill Holt Wood, a successful environmental social enterprise, to deliver outdoor learning shelters to schools across the UK. ‘Hill Holt Products’ provides a complete service from bespoke design through to installation of outdoor classrooms.
